#ThisTime - Actually #NotThisTime

Another embarrassing game delivered by the Scottish national side. A late equaliser saved Gordon Strachan having to fall on his sword straight away but there is discontent among the faithful fans with the witty manager. In the build up to tonight's game, Strachan suggested that facing the media was 32-1; 32 wanting a headline while he declined the chance to provide one. The numbers against his one may be rather more than 32 tonight. Various postings on websites suggest that the time has come for Strachan to go. How long can he hang on? Probably until the end of qualification group stage for the 2018 World Cup finals if the SFA play their usual wringing hands game. Decisiveness is not their strong suit. Neither is thinking up appropriate hash tag logos - #THISTIME which must be one of the most embarrassing things about the campaign - apart from tonight's result.

Group F is made up of England, Scotland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania and Malta. Which sides were identified as minnows when that group was drawn? Now have a think about which are considered minnows following tonight's results? Can you see Scotland getting a three point result on Tuesday against Slovakia, who were beaten by Slovenia tonight? This could be another long painful group of game to watch with Scotland failing to get the right balance on the pitch no matter who they are facing.

If Strachan goes - who would be the replacement? Suggestions on a postcard to Stewart Regan, Chief Executive, SFA, Hampden, Glasgow. I am sure the 35,996 who were at tonight's game would also be interested in your views.
