Things Are Getting Better For Templeton

David TempletonThe change in manager at Tynecastle has coincided with David Templeton returning to his best form. The winger feels that he is benefiting from the guidance provided by Paulo Sergio. Templeton is eager to continue his strong run of personal performances in a winning effort in today's game at home to Kilmarnock. He said: "I feel like I'm playing quite well. The last few games I've been a lot more involved and I've been trying to switch up my game and make it more difficult for my opponent, rather than going at them every time. I think that's helped a lot since the new manager (Sergio) came in. He's been working with me to do that and it's changed my game. I've done reasonably well and hopefully that can continue."

Templeton is still waiting to celebrate his first goal of 2011, having not scored since the win at St Mirren at the end of past year. He went on: "It does get to you a bit. Obviously I'd like to score, but if I'm creating goals I don't mind, as long as the team's winning. It would be good to get the goal and go on from there."

Hearts have won three of their last five league games, and Templeton hopes they can continue the level of performance they showed in the loss to Rangers last weekend in a winning effort against eighth-placed Killie. He added: "On Sunday we played really well and created the better chances. Going into Saturday there's no reason not to be confident. It will be a difficult game - they play really good football. Hopefully we'll be able to create some good chances and take them. We'd like to be higher. The past few games we've started to show what we can do and hopefully we can do that on Saturday and get a good result."
