Calum Elliot has itchy feet and wants away from Hearts the sooner the better.

Calum Elliot can't wait for a new Hearts manager to be named so that the can put in a transfer request. The striker has been thinking about his future and sees his future away from Tynecastle. Elliot's form took a dip last year with a total of only four goals to show for his efforts. This did not endear him to the Hearts fans and despite support from interim head coach Stephen Frail, his frustrations were clear to see. He lost it a couple of times and he was sent off twice. There appears to be a home ready in the Highlands for Elliot's services with Inverness Caley Thistle declaring their interest. The situation may not be clear for a while as Elliot, who still has three years left on his contract, waits for a new manager to be named.

The new man in the dugout is unlikely to be Slovakian Vladimir Weiss who failed to give Hearts an answer about the job by the deadline set by the club. Next Wednesday sees the Hearts squad head back to Riccarton for pre-season training and it looks like Frail may be asked to lead the training as no announcement on the new management team is imminent. Elliot said: "
I am waiting to see what is happening regarding the managerial situation at Hearts. The quicker it gets done, the better it is for me because I am looking to get away. I will have to wait until the manager is in place before anything can happen." Elliot's agent, Jim McArthur, said: "There is nothing going to happen until a new coach is appointed and then the new coach will decide what he's going to do with Calum."
