That Rings A Bell

Clyde appear to have settled who will be in charge of the backroom activities in 2008-09.
Clyde Manager John Brown is getting his back-room staff sorted out for the new season. He needs to get that right so that together they can get the squad right for the new season ahead. Brown has named former Aberdeen favourite Dougie Bell as his assistant. This is promotion for Bell as he has been working as a coach at the club for the last three years. Bell knows what it is like playing for the Bull Wee as he played for the club in the 90s before coming back as a coach in 2005 to work with the under-19 side and in 2006 he was promoted to first team duties. Brown's boot room is now made up of a number of familiar names such as Gary Bollan (who will combine a youth development role with first team coaching), Andy Goram (goalkeeping coach) and Physio Iain McKinlay.
On the playing side, Brown has allowed a couple of players to leave the club. Dusan Bestvina made 28 appearances last season since he signed in September but has left after a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. The club have been notified that Christian Smith, formerly of Port Vale, will not be returning for the new season. | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)
