Table Toppers Meet In First Division

Last updated : 13 November 2010 By Ed_ScottishFitba

Steven Bell has joined the ranks of the long-term injured ahead of Dunfermline's home game against Raith. The tricky winger has suffered an Achilles injury and could be replaced in the side by Alex Burke. Also missing for the Pars will be goalkeeper Greg Paterson, defender Jack Ross and midfielder Nicky Phinn. Assistant manager Gerry McCabe said: "It will be interesting to see how both teams react after being beaten last Saturday. We feel that we have match-winners in our team who will rise to the occasion and send us to the top of the table."

Stephen Simmonds has dealt the league leaders a blow ahead of the trip to Dunfermline. The midfielder joins Dougie Hill on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his foot. Everyone else in the Kirkcaldy squad is available to manager John McGlynn, who is expecting both sides to put defeats last weekend behind them and come out fired up. McGlynn said: "Games do not come much bigger and better than this one and I am sure both teams will have moved on. This is the type of game that you want to manage in as it has captured the imagination of the Fife public and I am looking forward to it."
