Council Officers have been instructed to endeavour to facilitate any potential transfer of the Club with a view to ensuring the continuation of football at senior level in Stirling and will report back to a meeting of the Council in December on the proposed terms for the new lease and on progress with the court action.

Paul Goodwin of The Buy Stirling Albion campaign said: "It's a real shame that it has come to this but; is no surprise to us given how long the clubs difficulties have been going on . We only hope that Mr McKenzie will come back to us in the interim period, as we do believe the Trust has the capabilities of working to ensure the clubs future. With substantial funds pledged from fans, local business and several international brands we believe that we can drive this important community asset forward in an innovative way that will ensure its long term future. We would encourage McKenzie to talk to us as soon as possible as we can't see any other viable alternative to our proposals".
