There appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel for the anti-Calderwood faction of fans in Aberdeen. He wants to stay.

There is news that a certain section of the Aberdeen support will not take too kindly to, manager Jimmy Calderwood has promised to stay at the Pittodrie club until he ends their 13-year long wait for a trophy. Calderwood admits he would like to test his managerial skills in England before the end of his career. However, after more than four years with the Dons he insists he has unfinished business in the north east. He said: "
I want to win a trophy first. I know for a fact that I can win trophies with Aberdeen, because we can beat any team in Scotland. We got to two semi-finals last season. Now all we have to do is take that next step."

Calderwood, who has been linked with Derby and Leicester in recent years, added: "
It would take something special to make me leave a club like Aberdeen and go down south. Managing in England is maybe something that I would like to try at some point in my career. There have been a few opportunities that have come up but they did not suit me."
