Michael Stewart available after SFA Video Panel Decision

After referee David Somers admitted that he made an error in sending off Michael Stewart against Hamilton last week, a review panel has reduced his offence from ‘Violent Conduct’ red to ‘Adopting a threatening and/or an aggressive attitude’ Yellow. This means that he can now be selected to play against Dundee United on Saturday.

Also masseur Alan Robbie will have to explain the comments he directed towards the referee during the fracas in the tunnel at full time. He can’t however be banned from the touchline as he does not enter the dugout during play. His case will be heard by the disciplinary panel when it meets on 27 January.

Hearts’ indiscipline will also be discussed and they have already been fined £40,000 for their lack of discipline in season 2008/09 after having received 11 red cards. They also have a suspended £10,000 levy until January 2010 pending good behaviour. They could have done without the events of last Sunday at New Douglas Park. More trouble could well be looming for the Gorgie Road club.
