Stay With Me

Craig Levein believes Lukasz Zaluska's career will be better served with Dundee United for now.
Dundee United boss Craig Levein is not surprised other teams are casting envious eyes in the direction of goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska but has urged the Pole to stick with the Tannadice club for now. Zaluska is considering the offer of a new contract but has been linked with Celtic. Zaluska admitted he would love to move to Parkhead one day but Levein believes his career would be better served by at least another season on Tayside. He said: "Lukasz has been playing really well and, because of that, we've made him an offer of a new contract which he and his agent are thinking about right now. We'll find out if he wants to stay or not. If he doesn't then so be it, that's the way the game works. I've told him that the best thing for him is to stay here for a while yet because he's been playing regular and is improving."
Levein's men travel to Kilmarnock tomorrow for the battle of the sides who had looked most likely to finish closest to the Old Firm this season. But while United have risen from the foot of the table to third place and a CIS semi-final after a 10-game unbeaten run, Killie have dropped to seventh after five straight defeats and have crashed out of the League Cup. | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)
