Show No Fear

invernessInverness have been told by Terry Butcher to show no fear as they welcome Motherwell today. The Fir Park side stretched their unbeaten run to eight games on Sunday with a 3-1 win over Celtic, their second win over the SPL champions in two months. Those three points mean that European football will be on the fixture list for Motherwell next season and they only need one more point to seal second place ahead of Caley Thistle. Stuart McCall's side have scored 12 goals in three games against Butcher's side this season but the Thistle manager is looking forward to the chance to make amends against his former team. Butcher is focused on his side's positive approach as they look to join the Lanarkshire side in the Europa League.

Butcher said: "We know what Motherwell can do. I saw the Motherwell-Celtic game and they were extremely impressive. It's something we have to take on and I'm sure we will relish the opportunity. With our strongest team we have tried three times to match them and failed. So there is no point looking back. All we can do is look forward to the match and apply ourselves even better than we have done before. We have had a great season and everything we have achieved has been through successful play - scoring goals, putting crosses into the box and taking the game to the opposition - and that's something we want to do this Saturday. It's not to be feared, it's to be eagerly anticipated. We have got to run our socks off, as simple as that. We have got to give maximum effort so we can come off the pitch and say 'I did my bit, I gave all I could', and hopefully that will get us three points."
