Club or country - which one to chose? Tough call for Vladimir Weiss - able to chose the best Slovakian players or coach a team picked by somebody else.

I'm going that-a-way
Hearts are still interested in having Artmedia manager Vladimir Weiss take over the managerial responsibilities - at least the ones the other Vladimir does not want. The club looked to have closed the door on Weiss when he failed to call back after meeting club officials to discuss his role a Tynecastle. Weiss was top of the list when Motherwell manager Mark McGhee decided to stay at Fir Park. Hearts have a rival suitor for Weiss as he is also wanted by the Slovakian Football Association to take over the national side from the outgoing Jan Kocian.

He spoke with SFA officials on Monday and the SFA Executive Committee are meeting again on Thursday when is expected they will offer the job to Weiss. Weiss has been quoted as saying he was interested in moving to Hearts but he failed to get the assurances he needed regarding on team selection and transfer matters from Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov. With that in mind it is looking increasingly likely he will take up the role as national boss. Hearts' interim head coach Stephen Frail and sport director Anatoli Korobochka are expected to oversee the start of pre-season training when the first team squad report back to Riccarton this morning.
