The Scotland National Team has a rich history stretching back 150 years – from taking to the pitch at Hamilton Crescent for the first ever international football match against England, to more recently seeing both Men’s and Women’s National Teams qualify for major tournaments.
The Scotland Men’s National Team will debut the shirt on the field in their UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier against Cyprus on Saturday, 25 March, while the Scotland Women’s National Team will wear the shirt against Costa Rica at Hampden Park on Tuesday, 11 April.
To further mark the 150th Anniversary, the shirt will be worn by the Scotland Men’s National Team in the special Anniversary Heritage friendly match against England at Hampden Park on Tuesday, 12 September.
The shirt draws inspiration from the first “uniform” worn by the Scotland players in the historic first match against England in 1872.
It reflects the nation's football heritage with a simple design. Dominated by the traditional dark blue, it is finished with a round white collar and woven crest. The Lion Rampant is highlighted in gold against a tonal crest, so as to match the look of the first crest worn on early Scotland shirts.
The striped sleeve cuffs give a nod to the importance of Queen’s Park FC, who formed the basis of Scotland’s earliest national team all those years ago.
The shirt features moisture-wicking AEROREADY to add a dash of modern-day comfort and is made with 100 percent recycled materials – part of our combined efforts to help end plastic waste.

Boxed 150th Anniversary Shirt
A special edition boxed 150th shirt will also be available, going on sale on Thursday, 30 March, 2023.
This boxed shirt will be available in two variants, the first of which contains the 150th Anniversary shirt on its own. This special edition boxed shirt is available in kids, women’s and men’s sizes.
The second variant contains the shirt, and is accompanied by a commemorative coin and a miniature blended malt whisky. Only 873 of this variant of the boxed shirts will be available. This special edition boxed shirt is available in women’s and men’s sizes.
