C:WindowsTempphpF1E9.tmpNadir Ciftci has been charged by the SFA for his biting incident with Dundee's Jim McAlister. The Dundee United player has been found guilty after McAlister claimed he was bitten on the leg during the Scottish Premiership match against their bitter arch-rivals on 24 May. The Terrors backed Ciftci at the time after he denied the allegation, and in turn the club accused Dundee of "quite severe physical and totally unacceptable verbal provocation" towards their player.

Ciftci nearly served a two-game ban earlier in the season for allegedly kicking Celtic's Scott Brown in the head during a Premiership game in March, but it was rescinded on appeal by the SFA. Ciftci also missed the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden in January after picking up a sufficient number of yellow cards.  The Turkish forward, who signed from NAC Breda in 2013, rejected a one-year contract extension at Tannadice earlier this month and says he will seek a new challenge when his current deal expires in 2016.
