The defender underwent a successful tidy-up operation on his ankle and now faces a period of rehabilitation. If the weather keeps up, he may not miss many games.
Manager Peter Houston said: "I have spoken to Scott, who told me the operation went well and he is out of hospital. The doctors tidied up a bit of cartilage that had come loose and he will be out for six to eight weeks. If we can get him back for the last three or four months of the season that would be a major boost for the team at an important time."
