Raith Rovers hope to stay top but Brechin will hope to see off Arbroath and keep the pressure on.

Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn is enjoying the challenge of keeping the Kirkcaldy side at the top of the Second Division. They face a tough test of their new status as league leaders when they face local rivals East Fife in Methil. McGlynn said: "East Fife would love to knock us off that top spot, but that's a challenge we're hoping to face between now and the end of the season. We're top and we want to stay there. It's a big derby and we know we can't drop our standards."

Brechin are second by virtue of their inferior goal difference after losing their unbeaten record in emphatic style with a 5-1 loss away to Peterhead. They will hope to be able to bounce back as they make the short journey to Arbroath. Another local derby takes place today at Recreation Park as Alloa bid to reduce the five-point gap they lag behind Stirling. Third top Ayr United welcome second bottom Stranraer, while Peterhead harbour hopes of breaking into the top four when they play host to Queen's Park.
