Same Again For Hibs?

It is always difficult for a manager to see how best to come back from a poor performance.
Hibs manager Mixu Paatelainen has no plans to make wholesale changes for the trip to Pittodrie for the game against Aberdeen from the side that capitulated to Rangers last Sunday. He was furious with the manner in which his team let Kenny Miller secure the points by halftime with a brace of goals and Paatelainen felt his players could have done more to shut the striker down. Paatelainen said: "I always consider changes, no matter who we are playing and what the previous result has been. But whether I will make any is a different matter altogether. The most important thing for me now is that I have options if I do need to change things around and that is why I brought players in during the transfer window because I now have cover in so many positions on the park. One thing that is sure is that we must defend better, we lost three goals at the weekend at you cannot have players standing still watching the opposition score."
Meanwhile, Paatelainen insisted 'keeper Khalid Sinouh still had a lot of hard work ahead of him if he wants to get a deal to stay at Easter Road. Sinouh is on trial with Hibs this week and is available after being freed by Kasimpasa, after the Turkish side were unable to pay his wages. Former AZ Alkmaar 'keeper Sinouh did train with Falkirk in the summer but failed to agree a deal and it is understood Paatelainen has been interested in him for some time.
Paatelainen said of the Dutch-born Moroccan: "We have a goalkeeper in on trial, but we have had a number of goalkeepers at the club over the summer. We have had people constantly coming and going over the last few months on trial - fortunately most of them have gone unnoticed. I have managed to add to the rest of my squad but the goalkeeper is a position that I have been working on for some time to strengthen because we need to have options. We are still looking to do that and are working hard. We will definitely bring someone in by January at the latest." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)
