Will Steve Coppell be able to set up a familiy reunion for the Hunt brothers down south?

| Reading manager Steve Coppell is said to be interested in re-uniting the Hunt brothers, Noel and Stephen, at the Madejski Stadium. Noel is a hot property after contributing 18 goals in all competitions last season as United finished fifth in the SPL and made the CIS Cup final. However, manager Craig Levein is in no mood to sell such an asset and United's Communications director Derek Robertson denied there had been a formal bid and went on: "We are not looking to sell, but, even so, the money being talked about would be well short of our valuation."
However, that has been said before by a number of clubs when a player has attracted interest. This sort of speculation does make a player think about his future and Republic of Ireland B international Noel said: "I knew this had been on the cards and I heard the club knocked back a bid. It's an honour to be linked with such a big club and obviously it's something I'd be interested in. Stephen has spoken a lot about how huge they are. It would be a great move but it's not something I know too much about just now. I've loved my time at United but this would be a great opportunity and I'd love the chance to play with my brother." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)
