Scoring at the national stadium is always special not matter the game or the result.
Paul Quinn was celebrating on Saturday night despite being on the losing Queen's Park side. The St Mirren striker is on loan to the Spiders and he managed to add his name to the list of players who have scored at Hampden. He scored the only goal for the home side in the 2-1 reverse to Livingston. This was Quinn's second goal of his loan spell but he was more pleased to be gaining first team experience.
He said: "It means a lot to me to score at Hampden, as there has been a lot of great strikers that have done that and I am glad to have joined them. Queen’s Park have got me playing in a first team environment, in front of fans with pressure to get points to mount a promotion push and that is fantastic development that I would not have got if I did not take this opportunity. At my age it is important to get games and with the quality of strikers St Mirren have it was hard to break into the starting eleven. Getting on the substitutes bench in the first team has been great but it is very important to play."
