C:WindowsTempphp9A70.tmpQueen's Park started the League One play off final second Leg in front of 2,107 at Hampden on a mission to put the game beyond doubt. Within two minutes the Spiders had three shots on the Bully Wee goal with the closest a deflected Paul Woods effort that went for a corner as QP attacked what was once the traditional Celtic end. This once 'other' Glasgow Derby roared into life in the Hampden Sun and the visiting fans were making all the noise. Woods again almost put the home side 4-1 up on aggregate but scuffed his shot after 12 then commentators favourite Bolochoweckyj was booked for dissent as QP stayed on top. Gemmell headed onto the roof of the net in 24 as Clyde found their feet then on the half hour, after a series of Clyde corners, McGeever handled under pressure and Linton put the reds ahead from the spot.

Half Time: Queen's Park 0 Clyde 1

The second half was played with a bit more blood and thunder befitting of the occasion as Clyde chased the goal that would take the game to extra time and QP looked to re-establish a two goal aggregate cushion. Clyde brought on Gormley for Marsh after 65 then Linton got caught between shooting and passing 20 yards out, a good chance scorned. Bolochoweckyj was then sent off for more petty fouling, although his need to talk back to the ref at every turn was as much to blame as anything else for the red card. At 10 minutes left this play off was finely balanced and more subs were now being brought into play (including Marvin Andrews).  The other Rangers connection in the technical area was more animated now with Gus MacPherson and Barry Ferguson sensing victory and defeat respectively. Both sides had chances to score in the closing stages and Andrews popped up at the far post in stoppage time but his header across goal had no takers. QP held on to gain promotion from 4th in League 2 along with champs East Fife. The other Glasgow hoops are going up!
