C:WindowsTempphp6D6B.tmpAlbion Rovers have secured a pre-season friendly against Motherwell for 2 July as they prepare for season 2016-17. The game will take place at Cliftonhill with a 15:00 kick-off. This will be the first time the two sides have met since Rovers historic victory over the Steelmen in the 2013-14 William Hill Scottish Cup.

Rovers Communications Officer Joe James said: "All involved at the club are fully expecting it to be a worthwhile afternoon for both the supporters and the team. It’s most likely going to be the first time that the supporters will get to see the Rovers side this season so I’m sure we can get a decent crowd down to see how the team are shaping up for the season. With Darren Young suggesting that the Steelmen will bring a mixture of both first team and development players, it’ll be a really good early test for the squad and it’ll hopefully prepare the boys well for when the competitive fixtures against the likes of Kilmarnock and Greenock Morton come around."
