Celtic still worry Villarreal no matter what their away record is.

Celtic's away record in the Champions League means nothing to Villarreal boss Manuel Pellegrini as he prepares his side for their game against the SPL champions on Tuesday night. Celtic head to Spain looking to break the hoodoo of only one point in 15 away games in their second Group E game of the new campaign following their goalless home draw against Aalborg. Pellegrini, whose side achieved the same result at the home of European champions Manchester United, will not allow his players to take Celtic lightly. He said: "I know that Celtic have struggled away from home and, of course, we hope this continues. All games are different, though, and we can be sure Celtic will want to change that record when they come to Villarreal. It's important for us to get a good result here at the Madrigal to build on the first match in Manchester. We will approach our games against Celtic and Aalborg in the same way we did against United - by showing them respect. Every point the other teams lose is important to us. Celtic lost two points against Aalborg in their first game and, for us, it's very important to get the maximum from our first home game to put us in a strong position."

Defender Pascal Cygan, who spent four years at Arsenal before joining Villarreal two years ago, reckons he and his team-mates know exactly what to expect from Celtic. He said: "
I remember watching them in the Champions League last season and they played like an English team. We expect a physical game but the referee will be European, so it will be different for them and better for us. We are aware that Celtic are very strong at home and not so good away. It's a big statistic and it's important for players to know these things." Striker Giuseppe Rossi believes Massimo Donati's failure to be a first team regular is proof Tuesday's opponents are a team to be feared. Rossi said: "When you have a player of his quality and ability - and if he fits the Scottish style of play - then I would have thought Donati would have been a first choice. If Donati can't get a start for Celtic, they must be a very good team and his omission tells me enough about how strong they will be on Tuesday."
