 Ross Jack is disappointed that Elgin City's Boxing Day game against with Clyde at Borough Briggs was called off on Thursday as the playing surface is perfect underneath the snow. Manager Jack said: “Our pitch is in great condition underneath the snow and would have been fine to play on if we had managed to get it moved, however that was just not possible. If we had done it on Thursday or Friday, the surface would have frozen over and we are then faced with asking people to volunteer to do that on Christmas day and that would not be right.”Clyde boss Stuart Millar was not surprised at the call off and he joked: “I was quite keen for the game to go ahead as one of their best players Craig Gunn was still stuck in the snow at Wick.” |
