Ayr United have secured the services of, PFA team of the year left back, Paddy Boyle until the end of the 2017-18 season. Manager Ian McCall said: "Paddy is a great professional, one of the first guys I wanted here when I got the job and someone you can always rely on. I was delighted when him and Nicky were voted into team of the year as we always felt we had the best full backs in the league. When Paddy was last in the Championship there was no better left back in the league so we know he excels at this level and getting him signed up for an extra year was a huge priority of mine."
Boyle said: "I am delighted to sign this new deal as I really enjoying playing for the club. Pre season training is less than a week away and I’m really excited to be getting back and preparing for the Championship. Obviously it will be a completely different test from last season but one we are really looking forward to. The fans were great all season, especially away from home with the backing they gave us and it was great to see numbers increasing at Somerset Park."
