Not A Happy Hunting Ground

C:WindowsTempphp4F5C.tmpHearts manager Robbie Neilson has his eyes set on a long-awaited league win in Perth on Saturday. The Tynecastle side head to the gateway to the Highlands in search of a fourth consecutive league win, having beaten Inverness, Partick Thistle and Hamilton in recent weeks. However, Hearts haven’t headed back over the Forth Bridge with three points since November 2010  and recently also suffered a 3-2 Betfred Cup away defeat in August to the Saints.

Neilson said: "
We were really disappointed with that result (Betfred Cup). We played really well for about 75 minutes, had a lot of possession and chances, but then we gave away two bad goals. So it was a disappointment, but we’ve made some changes since then and hopefully we can go back up there and get three points. We’re looking good, all the players are sharp and I’ve got a few choices to make this weekend."

However, Neilson has seen some encouraging progress from his side's recent form. He went on: "
We’ve made big changes over the summer and it takes time for a team to gel. There’s not a lot of patience in football these days, but as a coach you need to be patient. You need to wait for players to come together. We knew what was required in terms of bringing players in over the summer and I think we’ve recruited really well. That’s starting to prove itself now. The beginning of the season is always difficult but it’s about building the squad throughout the year. We’ve made a good start."
