Some players see new arrivals as a hint that they should be moving on. not so Jean-Claude Darcheville.

"..the club is looking to strengthen and that's why I will be there next season"
Jean-Claude Darcheville has been encouraged to see his manager at Rangers continue to strengthen the strike force at the club. He does not see these moves by Walter Smith as a threat to his position but more of a challenge to him to improve and fight for his place in the first team. He has no plans to ask for a move away from the Ibrox club. Smith has added Kenny Miller, Andrius Velicka and Kyle Lafferty to the pool available for selection next season after agreeing to join Rangers in the past fortnight.

But Frenchman Darcheville is ready and willing to rise to the challenge of taking on the new arrivals and is determined to stay and fight for his place after enjoying his first campaign at Ibrox. He said: "
The fact Rangers have brought in three new strikers doesn't worry me - it excites me. It's fantastic news that the club is looking to strengthen and that's why I will be there next season. I see a lot of potential at Rangers, I love the club and I am settled in Scotland. I don't want to leave."
