The former is delighted to have the latter playing alongside him and pointed to the good understanding of each other’s game as one of the reasons he is knocking in the goals.
The Scotland under-21 captain’s threaded pass set Cummings free on Saturday, away to Alloa Athletic, and he applied the finishing touch to score his 14th goal of the season in all competitions to seal a 1-0 win for Hibs that took them to match Rangers points tally at the top of the Championship . After the Alloa game Cummings said: "McGinn’s got a pass in his locker, me and him have got good chemistry on the pitch. He sees my runs and today is a good example. He’s played me in - it’s a great ball by John."
