Every player under contract is available at the right price and Hearts say they have no plans to sell Jose Goncalves if he stays beyond his current deal.

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies is still waiting to hear if Jose Goncalves will accept the deal on offer to extend his contract. Jeffries has had to deny rumours the Tynecastle club would seek to sell if Goncalves does eventually sign a new deal. The Portuguese player has been out of contention for a place in Jeffries side and will be until he signs a contract extension. The defender is considering his future following fresh contract talks with the club last week but Jefferies insists there are no ulterior motives on the club's part. Jefferies said: "If he comes into the team and does well then he's the same as any player. If we get offered decent money for him then it will be considered. It's not right to state we will just sign him and then sell him in the summer."
Jefferies believes the situation will be resolved soon. The former Kilmarnock manager added: "We've left that in Jose's hands, he hasn't been put under any pressure. He said he'd give us an answer on Friday but he had the weekend to think about it and then we see where we are. Jose has got to remember discussions have been going on for a while and he could run the risk of the offer being taken off the table. I don't know for sure because we haven't got to that stage, but I've seen it happen in the past."
