The autumn has been mild so far in the main but Craig Levein wants to move to the summer months for Scottish football.

Dundee United won 2-0 up a Pittodrie but still manager Craig Levein is not a happy man. He described conditions on Saturday as "the worst I can remember" as his side picked up all three points on offer thanks to first-half goals from Damian Casalinuovo and Morgaro Gomis. The former Hearts boss believed it was further indication that the SPL should "absolutely and 100 per cent" consider switching to summer football. An it isn't even November yet.

Levein said: "
I think our supporters were three to a seat further back in the stand to try to keep dry. I'm really pleased we won because they made a noise from the start to the end. It must have been horrible for people paying to come along and suffer that. I'm not being critical of the players at all because I thought they did try to create opportunities and, let's be honest, we have seen a lot worse games than that. I'm just delighted to get away from here with three points."
