Mooy Not Back Yet

Aaron MooyAustralian midfielder Aaron Mooy has suffered a setback in his bid to make his first appearance of the season for St Mirren. A stress fracture in his back has been the problem and Buddies' manager Danny Lennon admits the Aussie's condition has not responded to treatment as well as had been hoped.

Lennon said: "Basically, Aaron has had a setback and we're waiting on him to go back to see the specialist. It's a very delicate matter regarding Aaron's injury. If we try something with him, we could make the problem worse. Until we get a report back from the specialist, we have to wait to see what the next step is. We have come this far and we'll certainly not rush things - either for ourselves or the boy. The most important thing is that he returns 100 per cent fit. It's on these occasions that I must give a great deal of credit to my medical staff because the way the boys are looked after by them is absolutely wonderful - and not just in terms of recovery sessions with them or massages from the physio."
