Bilel Mohsni says he was not given a fair trial by the SFA and is disappointed by their verdict of a seven-game ban. Mohsni, who was released by Rangers at the end of his contract this month, was handed an initial four-game suspension for sparking a mass brawl at the end of their Championship play-off defeat to Motherwell. He was red carded for punching and kicking Lee Erwin and the SFA increased that ban by a further three game today after finding him guilty of two further offences during a Hampden hearing.

However, Mohsni said: "I am disappointed and frustrated. I thought I would have less of a ban. It is a hard decision and it is harder when I know the other player has zero ban and the other who was involved had just a two-match ban. There is a massive gap between zero, two and seven. What is the difference between what I did to them and what they did to me? I don't think I got a fair trial. They told me to come but I knew, despite it being a chance to explain myself, that I would never change their minds. I tried to explain myself as much as I could but they had it in their minds to give people an example – and it was me."
Mohsni admits he is going to find it hard to find a new club, with new Rangers manager Mark Warburton unlikely to re-sign the Frenchman, because he could miss up to a month-and-a-half of the new season. He said: "Hopefully I can find something and prepare for next season with a team. With my ability and skills I think I can help a team and I will be happy if I have trust of the manager - I know I can. I like the UK football, it's aggressive and high tempo, and I think my height suits well here. But I would be happy to go anywhere now."
