A U2 concert has forced the postponement of Saturday's Scottish Third Division game between Queen's Park and Albion Rovers.
| The match referee decided on Friday afternoon that the pitch was unplayable following the Irish rock band's concert at Hampden Park on Tuesday evening. Queen's Park say that a programme of works had been agreed with Hampden Park Limited's head groundsman. But the match was postponed at lunch time before the works were completed. It's a rather unfortunate call off for the Coatbridge-based visitors as they find themselves in the unusal position of leading the league after a good start to the season that also saw an away win at Ayr Utd in the Alba Challenge Cup. Forward momentum for the Cliftonhill side is curtailed for the moment.
