It is usually clubs who announce which players they will have playing for them next season but it looks as if Dani Mallo wants to change that.
 | "I am happy I left Sporting Braga to play in Scotland.." |
| We will have to wait till Wednesday before we know if Dani Mallo will follow John Hughes to Hibs. The Falkirk 'keeper has decided where he will play next season after making a decent name for himself since he joined Falkirk from Braga in January. His deal with the Scottish Cup Finalists was till the end of the season and the prospect of European football next season may be enough for him to work with the Bairns new manager, Eddie May.
There is said to be interest from a Championship club and a Spanish side and Mallo is teasing everybody by waiting till midweek before announcing his plans. He said: "I have decided on my future for next season, but I would prefer to wait until 1st July to make the announcement. My good season with Falkirk has relaunched my sporting career and that is very positive for me. I am happy I left Sporting Braga to play in Scotland and now I could profit from this chance to improve in all areas. he option of Spain is always there, but I do not have a fixed date for my return." He refused to be drawn into giving even a hint of his plans. When pressed about a move to Easter Road, he said: "This is a big club and the coach knows my work, but I do not want to say more."
