Life goes on they say but it can be hard.

Alloa managed to deal with a difficult first game of the season against Dumbarton. This was the Sons first game since the death of their captain Gordon Lennon and there muted celebrations as they unfurled the Division Three winners flag. Alloa ran out 3-1 winners but the game will unfortunately be remembered for other reasons. Meanwhile, Alloa manager Allan Maitland is preparing for losing Greig Spence. Celtic are interested and Maitland may move for a striker from Bulgaria who is on trial should Spence's move come off.

Maitland said: "
We have a player in training with us from Bulgaria after a recommendation from an agent. Dependant on what happens with Greig we may be in a position to give him a short term deal but in the meantime I am keeping his name under wraps."
