Lots To Ponder For Rosa

New season, same faces, different clubs. Managers have moved within the SPL and players will do the same.
With the fixtures for 2009-10 released, clubs will know they have to get a good start to the season. As 15 August approaches clubs will want to have secured their squad for that start. While there is not that much money floating around, there may well be the same familiar faces on the pitch but they may well have different shirts on in the coming season. For instance, Hearts could well have midfielder Denes Rosa playing for them after the the club approached his representatives about a potential move to Tynecastle this summer. Rosa played for Hibs for six-months but is out of contract and is on Csaba Laszlo's list of signing targets which will be discussed with Vladimir Romanov in Lithuania this week. Laszlo knows all about Rosa as the pair were at the Hungarian club Ferencvaros together. Laszlo's list also has entries for Maurice Ross, Lee Miller, Paul Hartley and Stephen Hughes, although he may face competition from Aberdeen for out-of-contract Motherwell midfielder Hughes.
Laszlo was credited with an interest in Rosa before he opted for Hibs and is keen to lure his fellow Hungarian across Edinburgh with the prospect of European football next season. The player's agent, Zoran Krneta, confirmed that he had been contacted by Hearts. Krneta said: "Hearts is one of the options for Denes. They wanted to take him in January and I have spoken with them again since the end of the season. Denes would like a two-year deal starting next season but it's a question of who gives him a concrete offer. Hearts know where we stand and they know what we want." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)
