Despite not having a permanent manager in place, Motherwell are still working away at getting their long-term squad sorted out.

Motherwell have managed to secure Everton pair John Ruddy and Lukas Jutkiewicz for another month. Both players are on loan from Goodison Park and the Fir Park side would like them to stay for the long term. The four week extension on the arrangements allows more time for both clubs to discuss their futures during the transfer window.

Motherwell general manager Leeann Dempster said: "This extension gives us a little bit more time to get things sorted with Everton. We are very keen to keep both players but with the January transfer window promising to be busy for both clubs, this gives us a safety net to ensure the guys can play in our vital matches this month. John and Lukas have done exceptionally well for us in the first half of the season and they both enjoy it at the club. It's now a case of thrashing out a deal with Everton that works for both parties."

One loanee who will not be getting to stay with the Lanarkshire club is French defender Yassin Moutaoaukil who has returned to Charlton Athletic after three-and-a-half months.
