The Craig Brown factor has persuaded Keith Lasley to stay with Motherwell.
Motherwell midfielder Keith Lasley has survived the reign of Jim Gannon and is pleased to have signed a new two-year contract with the Fir Park club. Lasley began his professional career with Motherwell back in 1999 and is in his second spell with club. Things looked bleak for his Motherwell days when Gannon was in charge as he was frozen out of the manager’s plans. However, things have turned around since Craig Brown and Archie Knox took over the management side of things. Lasley, who returned to the club in 2006 after spending two years at Plymouth, is the second player to commit his future to the Steelmen after Steven Hammell signed a new deal two weeks ago. There are also reports captain Stephen Craigan is poised to sign a new contract. |
