Ki Sung YuengFollowing medical tests and investigations in a South Korean hospital, Celtic midfielder Ki Sung Yueng has been given the all clear . Ki was required to travel home when he was called up to the national side despite missing the last two Celtic games with a virus. South Korea are due to play the United Arab Emirates in a World Cup qualifier in the Gulf on Friday, and Ki was in the squad. He travelled home but continued to feel unwell, so much so that he was admitted to hospital for a brain scan after arriving in Seoul. It now looks unlikely that Ki will be involved in Friday's game

Celtic released a statement on the situation. It read: "It is well known that Ki was unwell for a number of days, and while in Glasgow we made it our priority to ensure he received the appropriate rest and the usual high quality of care and treatment from the Celtic medical staff. Unfortunately, the South Korean FA demanded that he travel and then, as Ki still felt unwell, they decided to carry out various tests. We are pleased that these tests have returned normal results. We look forward to Ki's condition improving and to him returning after the international break."
