Celtic striker Robbie Keane has reopened the debate over the state of Falkirk's playing surface by claiming "it's not good for the game". Celtic have been accused of asking the SPL to inspect the pitch ahead of to last weekend's game between the two sides. The allegation angered Falkirk officials, although Cetic manager Tony Mowbray denied the suggestions. However, Keane, who scored twice against Falkirk last Sunday, admits the pitch is far from the ideal playing surface. Keane said: "I don't think many people are used to playing on pitches like that. I've been watching it (Scottish football) as an outsider for the last few years and I can't recall the pitches being that bad. I don't think the standard of the pitches - thanks to the weather - have helped the league. It's not good for the game." |
