Just Joshing

C:WindowsTempphpCC8B.tmpJohn Hughes felt referee Willie Collum was wrong to send off Inverness' Josh Meekings in today's 2-2 with St Mirren. With 20 minutes to go and the scores tied, Collum ruled Meekings had denied Josh Magennis a clear goalscoring opportunity - a decision Hughes could not agree with.

He said: "I didn't think it was a red card. Josh Magennis would not have got the second touch to the ball as Graeme Shinnie was getting that. He got it wrong - it wasn't a red card. I asked for an explanation from the fourth official, but he found it very difficult to give me one."

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon had some sympathy with his Caley Thistle counterpart adding: "I think that Josh's (Magennis) pace might have taken him through, but perhaps it was a little bit harsh as the two players were shoulder to shoulder. You take a decision like that, but sometimes in puts a spanner in your own works because the other team then tries to hold on. They withdrew a bit, played two banks of four with one striker and that made it a little bit harder for us to break them down."
