Cowdenbeath FC owners Innovate Cowdenbeath sacked Brian Welsh while the manager was on holiday but one former Hibby replaces another as the Fifers get ready for life in Div 3.

 
Brian Welsh was reported to be on a good wage as Cowdenbeath manager but the Fifers have started to cut their cloth accordingly ahead of their return to Div 3 following relegation at the hands of Arbroath in the play-offs Welsh was dismissed the other day and ex-Hibby Danny Lennon stepped up from Cowden assistant manager to become the seventh former Easter Road regular to boss the Beath since 1980 behind Stanton. Blackley, Brownlie, Wright and Mixu. Mickey Weir like Lennon was an assistant but never stepped up to the top job at Central Park. Youth coach Brian Hamilton moves up to the post of Lennon's assistant.
