Killie should consider being sponsored by Guiness as I understand that does not travel well either.
Kilmarnock have won just two of 16 SPL games on their travels this season. As they head into Saturday's game at Hamilton Danny Invincibile thinks he and his teammates better take some travel sickness pills if they are to avoid a relegation scrap with Falkirk who are just one point Behind them. Jimmy Calderwood's men having scored just four away goals - the lowest in British league football. Midfielder Invincibile said: "It's unfortunate because the home form's decent and, even if we'd managed just a few more away wins, we'd be fine. It's not something we can put our finger on. It's disappointing and it's annoying." Calderwood took charge at Rugby Park following the departure of Jim Jefferies for Hearts in January and Invincibile said: "It's not even down to the managers because with both it's been the same thing." The post-split fixtures have not been kind to a club that does not travel well with three of the last five games in the season to be played away from home. Invincibile went on: "When you're down there and you're playing for your lives, a lot of the football goes out the window. It's a scrap and you have to give your all, come off the pitch absolutely knackered and say, 'I couldn't do anything more than that'. We know it's going to be a battle with three games away from home. But, if we want to stay up, we need to rectify that. We probably need to win at least one away game." |
