chris innesDefender Chris Innes has called time on his involvement with Inverness for personal reasons. He will not be looking to extend his contract beyond it's expiry date which is the end of the season. His family is still based in Edinburgh and with a young family he wants to be closer to home. Innes admits the distance between Inverness and his family home has taken its toll on him and that he will look for a new club closer to Edinburgh.

He said: "I have told the gaffer I can't re-sign. I am based in Edinburgh and have three small children. The toll it has taken on me mentally and physically is far too much. I have an eight-month-old, a two-year-old and a five-year-old. My wife, Lara, is looking after them. The gaffer is an easy guy to speak to about family as he is a very family-orientated man. He was very understanding. He said there was no problem and said he knew where I was coming from."

Manager Terry Butcher has admitted he would like to bring loan star Aaron Doran back to the club next season as well as sort out a new deal for Shane Sutherland. Butcher said: "I would like to get Aaron back here. He is a great, bubbly character and a good player as well. Shane will also be offered a contract so hopefully these moves will work out. He'll work hard and play on either flank. He has definitely improved since being with us. The goal he got at Perth was a great goal. So Blackburn will be happy with that but there are players like that we would like to bring up because they certainly help the squad and lift the squad as well."
