Not all the favourites progressed into the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

Third Division side East Stirling caused the biggest shock of the Homecoming Scottish Cup so far when the beat First Division high-flyers Livingston 2-1 in their third-round tie. Eddie Forrester volleyed the home side ahead only for Liam Fox to level with a 35-yard shot that caught everyone out but Brian Graham curled home a spectacular winner.

Partick Thistle held on for a 3-2 win at Second Division Stirling Albion. The visitors opened the scoring through Scott Chaplin and Gary Harkins made it two from the spot. Craig Molloy pulled one back, but Liam Buchanan made it 3-1 before Paul Murphy netted Albion's second to make the last few minutes a long tome for the visiting fans.

Non-league Cove Rangers were unable to upset bottom of the First Division Airdrie United, going down 3-0 to goals from Joe Cardle and two from Simon Lynch.

East Fife beat Arbroath 2-0 thanks to Steve Crawford's first goal for the club followed by another from Craig O'Reilly.

Peterhead staged a late comeback to beat 10-man Morton 2-1. Steve Masterton put the visitors ahead but Peter Weatherson was sent off, with goals from David Ross and Martin Bavidge turning the tide.

Clyde beat Montrose 2-0 thanks to Dave McKay and Pat Clarke converting a penalty.

Ross County and Dumbarton drew 2-2, while Raith and Alloa will also need a replay after failing to trouble the score-keepers.

Albion were beaten 2-1 at home by Queen's Park and Highland League Clachnacuddin are out thanks to being thrashed 5-0 by Stenhousemuir.
