Cailin MichieGlasgow City have signed full back Cailin Michie on a pre-contract agreement from Swedish side Piteå IF. Michie, is no stranger to the Scottish game with the Edinburgh born defender spending four and a half successful seasons with rivals Hibernian, lifting four Premier League Cups and three Scottish Cups in that time. The twenty two year old made the switch to full time football at the turn of the year, signing for Piteå who play in the Swedish top flight, but has been lured back to Scotland much to the delight of City Head Coach Scott Booth. Michie has joined City on a two and a half year contract and becomes Booth’s eighth addition to the squad this campaign. Michie will join the Glasgow City squad at the start of December.

Booth said: "I have tried to sign Cailin to be honest a number of times. I was not at all surprised when she got her move to Sweden and I am just delighted we have managed to persuade her to come back and join our vision for the future at the club. She is very versatile and can play both sides. She is young, hungry and a year playing every week in one of the most competitive leagues in Europe will have developed her even more. I am very much looking forward to seeing Cailin and her development grow even further in a Glasgow City shirt."
