Preparing for tonight's Europa League qualifying tie against Llanelli has not stopped new Motherwell manager Jim Gannon from making his first signing. Midfielder Steven Jennings has been signed on a free transfer from Tranmere Rovers. The club are still waiting for the necessary international clearance which will seal the deal . However, the deal has agreed in time for Jennings to be involved in tonight's game.
Jennings had been on the books of Everton as a youngster before moving to Tranmere and he made over 160 appearances during his time at Prenton Park. He was offered a new deal with the League One club but decided to take the chance to link up with former Stockport boss Gannon. | Editor
