The SFL have been busy making fresh arrangements for games which have been hit by the weather.

More SFL games have been postponed due to the weather. Despite Edinburgh being slightly warmer today, there are still areas in the country where either pitches or surrounding areas make it impossible for game to go on. The prospect of freezing temperatures falling to minus 8 degrees in the Airdrie area encouraged the League Management Committee to accede to a to a request from both Dundee and Airdrie United to postpone the game scheduled for Excelsior Stadium this Saturday. However, as Dundee's Dens Park Stadium has undersoil heating, the Committee have agreed to bring forward the Dundee -Airdrie United game from Saturday, 20th March, 2010 to this coming Sunday, 3rd January. Dundee have cleared the change of arrangement with the Police and a precautionary pitch inspection will be held at 10.00 a.m. on the Sunday morning. If the weather holds, the game will kick-off at 3.00 pm.

East Stirling’s Third Division game with Albion Rovers scheduled for tonight at Ochilview has been postponed with the artificial surface still sitting underneath a blanket of ice and snow. Shire have been using the training facilities at Dunblane High School where defender Craig Tully is the janitor. Head coach Jim McInally said:  "It has not been an ideal time to be a part-time club but thanks to Craig we have been able to do some work to get the players exercising. Hopefully things will have lifted before Elgin come calling on Saturday." Rovers manager Paul Martin said: "We have not played now since December 12 but we should be okay this Saturday as we are due to face Queen’s Park at Hampden. It has been difficult to get training facilities but you just have to get on with things."
