Casbo Laszlo may have been the architect for Hearts making third place in season 2008-09 but he needs planning approval before he can start the 2009-10 campaign.
Csaba Laszlo has been making his plans for the future of Hearts but he knew he had to win over owner Vladimir Romanov before he could start putting them into action. Laszlo has been meeting with Romanov in Edinburgh this week to discuss summer recruitment plans. With Bruno Aguiar, Christos Karipidis and Robbie Neilson all leaving Tynecastle under freedom of contract, Laszlo is keen to get some more experienced replacements signed up ahead of next season's Europa League campaign.
The Hearts manager said: "Mr Romanov promised to do something. I think we must be very active and look to bring players in during the next five weeks. At the end of the five weeks, we begin training but at the moment we have no names. Mr Romanov has so many names and I do not give him a list every day. I know what I want and we must look to make it possible. If necessary, I will travel to Lithuania (where Romanov is based), but at the moment everybody is on holiday. Maybe next week we can talk and perhaps arrange a meeting. For me, it is important to have players. If you bring the team to third place, you have success and we must use this time to not go down. My position is the same as before; I try to do my best and nothing more. I don't like to make pressure. I think every manager must be focused and strong for the new season." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)
