Livingston have had to sell their prized asset after agreeing a deal with Dundee

Livingston's money problems have helped Dundee get striker Leigh Griffiths signed for their latest offer of £100,000. Livingston chairman Angelo Massone was holding out for more for Griffiths but with Scottish Power pulling the plug and West Lothian council looking for £10,000, he had to see the value of money coming into the club. The former Hutchison Vale striker broke the club's scoring record in his first season after he broke through.. Dundee manager Jocky Scott has been long-time admirer of the Scotland B internationalist and first made his first approach in April.

Tony Mowbray took Griffiths down to West Bromwich Albion towards the end of last season on trial. However, Mowbray's appointment to be Celtic manager, coupled with West Brom's relegation from the English Premier League, has realistically ended the chance of big money being offered from England.
