Aberdeen need to break their losing streak but Falkirk need the points to get away from the quicksand at the bottom of th SPL. Could be quite a game.

After their game against St Mirren on Boxing Day fell victim to the weather, Aberdeen midfielder Gary McDonald is determined to end 2009 with another three points by beating Falkirk on Tuesday. The Dons have lost their last three games and McDonald is keen to end that losing streak with a win which would take them up to fifth in the SPL. He said: "The most important thing is to win the game and give the fans a result because they deserve it. We know the results in the past couple of games haven't been good enough in comparison to what we expect. We certainly want to give the fans three points on Tuesday."
However, the Dons fans will hope that their favourites received shooting boots for Christmas as the Pittodrie side are the joint lowest scorers in the SPL with only 12 goals from 16 games. McDonald know his team-mates have to be more clinical in front of goal if they are to beat the Bairns. McDonald said: "It is frustrating for us that we aren't scoring as often as we would like but we would be more concerned if we weren't creating chances. We are creating opportunities for each other and I'm sure we have the players that will score goals. It is just a matter of persevering and working hard on your shooting during the week in training and trying to take that into a match."
Aberdeen could do with the services of striker Lee Miller but he is suspended for the game. He said: "We have to wait and see how big a miss Lee will be but obviously he is our main man, our number nine, and a lot of our play goes through him. I would say he is one of the best strikers in the league at holding the ball up and bringing midfielders like myself into the game. But it is an opportunity for somebody else to come in and show what they can do. Hopefully whoever replaces him - whether that be one of the young boys, Darren Mackie or whoever - can step up to the mark."
Falkirk are still stuck at the bottom of the league following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Hearts but McDonald has warned his team-mates not to under-estimate Eddie May's side when they meet at Pittodrie. He went on: "I saw the highlights of their recent win against Kilmarnock and I thought they looked really strong, especially in the second half. They got the ball down and were passing it about really well. They gave us a really tough game down there when we drew 0-0 earlier this season so we expect the same when they come up here. However, it is certainly a home game that we will be wanting to take all three points from."
