C:WindowsTempphpBE6F.tmpJohn Souttar is delighted at securing a deadline-busting move to Hearts. The young defender signed a three-and-a-half-year deal following his transfer from Dundee United on Monday. A first-team regular since the age of 16,  Manager Robbie Neilson earlier expressed his delight at bringing the highly rated defender to Hearts, and Souttar himself can’t wait to get started with his new club. He could be in line for a debut in the sold out Edinburgh derby in the Scottish Cup on Sunday.

Speaking yesterday Souttar said: "I’m delighted to have signed for Hearts tonight. I think I’m joining a brilliant club at a great time. There are so many exciting things happening at this club, and Robbie is a coach who likes to give young players, like myself, their chance. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and getting my career back on track. I would like to say thank you to all the fans and the people at Dundee United for their support over the years, and who gave me the chance to play football."
